Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight between Louisville and regional distribution centers
- Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS technology while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and dock equipment with proper safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and resolve customer inquiries with professionalism
- Document all transport activities and maintain electronic logs via ELD systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize route efficiency and on-time performance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance standards
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts including early mornings and weekends
