Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods between distribution centers and client locations
- Adapt routes and schedules to accommodate flexible hour preferences while maintaining delivery timelines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using digital tracking systems
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges
- Represent Metro Logistics Solutions with professionalism in all client interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Strong knowledge of Boston metro area navigation and traffic patterns
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
- Excellent time management skills with ability to self-schedule within operational constraints
- Basic proficiency with electronic logging devices and route optimization software
