Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional routes throughout Kansas City metropolitan area
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance checks
- Load/unload freight efficiently using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Represent Heartland Transport Solutions with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Kansas City metro area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
