Role Overview:
As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight to our clients throughout the Bay Area. You will represent the Apex brand with professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction at every stop.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver cargo on designated routes.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo security and proper documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers and handle inquiries regarding deliveries.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations within the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT card).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and handle freight up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
