Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods along designated routes in Buffalo and surrounding areas
- Maintain meticulous delivery logs and ensure timely, accurate shipments while adhering to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and report vehicle maintenance needs to prevent operational delays
- Provide exceptional customer service through professional communication with clients and dispatch teams
- Implement defensive driving techniques and follow all safety protocols to achieve zero-accident records
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize routes and resolve delivery challenges efficiently
- Assist with loading/unloading operations when required, ensuring proper handling of freight
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience with hazardous materials endorsement
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and familiarity with DOT compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of Buffalo area geography and regional highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet strict delivery deadlines
