Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks to ensure DOT compliance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve delivery issues promptly
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company operational procedures
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Represent the company professionally in all client and community interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation technology
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as needed
