Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) to deliver freight on established routes in a timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring weight distribution is balanced and secure.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) entries and Bill of Lading.
- Interact professionally with customers and receivers, resolving any delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety policies, and company operational procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT medical card.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong navigation skills and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
