Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods on assigned routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records
- Adhere to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Manage delivery documentation, including BOLs and delivery confirmations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Respond professionally to route disruptions and implement contingency plans
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Maryland traffic laws and regional geography
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Customer service mindset and professional communication abilities
