Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload freight using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning
- Complete electronic logging and delivery documentation
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with NJ/NYC metro area roadways and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of freight handling and securement methods
- Flexibility to work early morning/late evening shifts
