Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes through St. Petersburg metropolitan area
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight with precision while adhering to safety protocols and handling procedures
- Deliver time-sensitive shipments to industrial, commercial, and residential locations
- Implement defensive driving techniques to ensure zero-accident performance
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation and real-time traffic avoidance
- Document delivery exceptions and maintain clear communication with dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean 3-year MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable Class A driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background investigation
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) operations
- Deep knowledge of Tampa Bay area geography and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and customer service orientation
