Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Plan optimal routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and verify shipment accuracy
- Communicate with dispatch and clients to resolve delivery issues proactively
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all federal/state transportation laws
- Train new drivers on route protocols and safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no serious violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore metro area and Mid-Atlantic routes
- DOT physical certification and ability to pass random drug screenings
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred
