Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes across New Mexico
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance records
- Load/unload cargo using proper techniques and equipment handling protocols
- Adapt to dynamic delivery schedules while maintaining on-time performance
- Implement defensive driving practices in all weather and road conditions
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel
- Complete electronic logging system documentation with precision
- Represent Southwest Logistics with professionalism during all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Problem-solving aptitude for unexpected delivery challenges
