Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) to deliver freight safely and efficiently to local destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or hand trucks, ensuring proper securement according to weight distribution guidelines.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required delivery paperwork.
- Interact professionally with customers and warehouse staff to resolve any delivery issues or special instructions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) valid for at least 6 months.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, including FMCSA guidelines.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late evenings, or weekends.
