Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within San Jose and Bay Area
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (certification provided)
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate with dispatch via ELD
- Implement defensive driving techniques and maintain clean MVR record
- Collaborate with warehouse team on efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Participate in quarterly safety training and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied weather conditions
- Proficient in using ELD systems and route navigation apps
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
