Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on designated routes throughout Southern California
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight using specialized equipment and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Optimize route efficiency using GPS technology while adhering to strict delivery schedules
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is completed accurately
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delays, route changes, or mechanical issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and participate in ongoing training programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Knowledge of California roadways and hazmat certification preferred
