Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles over designated regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload freight using appropriate equipment and securement protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Adhere to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Report maintenance issues and vehicle defects promptly
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 2 years verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with hazmat/dry van refrigerated freight preferred
- Strong knowledge of NJ/NYC metro area roadways
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Flexible availability for early morning/weekend shifts
- High school diploma or equivalent required
