Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight on dedicated metro routes
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks when required
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Build strong customer relationships through professional delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route navigation and real-time tracking
- Complete delivery documentation and communicate shipment status to dispatch
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
- No preventable accidents in past 3 years
