Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers for dedicated regional routes within Fort Wayne and surrounding areas
- Maintain strict adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and delivery scheduling
- Document all transportation activities accurately in electronic logging systems
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure seamless cargo handling
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3+ years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Flexibility for early morning start times and occasional weekend work
- Pass background check and drug screening per federal requirements
