Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes within 300-mile radius
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques (e.g., straps, tarps, weight distribution)
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle inspections, and compliance documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during dock interactions and delivery confirmations
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations, DOT standards, and company safety protocols
- Perform minor preventative maintenance and report vehicle/service issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly and work in varying weather conditions
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills for on-the-road challenges
