Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A) safely and efficiently in compliance with all DOT and company regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring securement and proper handling of freight at various terminals.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) logs and complete daily vehicle inspections (DVIR).
- Navigate routes in the Long Beach area and surrounding regions efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any logistical issues.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in excellent mechanical condition while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) to meet DOT standards.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic English language proficiency for clear communication.
