Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks on local and regional routes in Fort Wayne and surrounding areas.
- Load and unload materials using winches, forklifts, or manual labor as required.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork, including daily mileage and fuel reports.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and site supervisors.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience driving heavy dump trucks or haul trucks.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of basic truck mechanics and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and challenging terrain.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
