Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in strict compliance with all state and federal regulations (FMCSA).
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and proper securing methods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and stay within Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedules, delays, and delivery expectations.
- Adhere to company policies regarding drug testing and safety procedures.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road and at customer sites.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and dispatch communication.
