Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and legally on regional and long-haul routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging device (ELD) logs and delivery paperwork.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and cargo protection.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Report any mechanical defects or safety hazards immediately to fleet management.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo securement procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Basic English proficiency for communication purposes.
