Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers to deliver freight on time and in perfect condition.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required paperwork.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure the safety of passengers, cargo, and fellow drivers.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues efficiently.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal traffic laws and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card (Required).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Preferred).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to lift and handle cargo safely, including bending and reaching.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
