Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks and tractor-trailers in adherence to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity throughout the journey.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and complete all required daily paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and participate in ongoing safety training programs.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of California.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Experience driving tractor-trailers is preferred but we offer training for qualified candidates.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to operate a commercial motor vehicle across state lines.
