Responsibilities
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on highways and local roads.
- Manage all delivery documentation, including bills of lading and electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and fleet managers.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck cab and cargo area.
- Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and local traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of defensive driving techniques and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and reporting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
