Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver freight across the Nashville, TN, and Texas regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, miles traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to weight limits and cargo securement regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT medical card and a clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally during loading/unloading.
