Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper safety equipment.
- Prepare and maintain accurate delivery documentation (BOL, manifests).
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
- Maintain a clean driving record and vehicle appearance.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state of Illinois.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Six months of verifiable commercial driving experience (Preferred).
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
