Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper tie-down techniques and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) data.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Previous experience in long-haul or regional truck driving is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, hours of service (HOS), and cargo securement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks during loading/unloading.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required by the shift schedule.
