Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, within local and regional delivery zones.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Represent the company professionally while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of cargo securement procedures.
- Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
