Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to deliver freight to customers within the Washington DC metropolitan area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weight and ensuring proper placement.
- Maintain accurate Electronic Logging Device (ELD) logs and complete all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
- Keep the truck clean and maintained in a professional condition at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
