Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (tractor-trailers) on highways and local roads within the San Francisco Bay Area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to strict schedules and delivery timelines to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no DUIs, serious accidents, or CDL disqualifications).
- Ability to obtain Hazmat or Tanker endorsements (preferred but not required).
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety protocols.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual labor.
