Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A tractor-trailers on local and regional routes throughout San Antonio and the surrounding Texas area.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying manifests and handling freight with care.
- Maintain accurate records, including Hours of Service (HOS) logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries and address any logistical challenges.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS) rules, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
