Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently in adherence to all federal and state regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety of the cargo and the roadways.
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate records, including electronic logging devices (ELD), delivery receipts, and mileage logs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding pickup and delivery times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Must have a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally.
