Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport cargo across assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues.
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT/ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by the state.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
