Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over various terrains in and around the Phoenix metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) hours of service requirements.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring weight distribution is correct and cargo is secure.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and represent the company at loading docks and customer locations.
- Report mechanical issues immediately to the maintenance department.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A CDL license with a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if required.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and DOT regulations.
- Valid commercial driver's manual and ability to read maps and GPS systems.
