Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and secure cargo using proper tie-down techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding delivery times and potential delays.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risk on the road.
- Uphold the company's high standards for customer service and safety culture.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Basic math skills for cargo documentation and toll calculation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends if necessary.
