Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles (tractor-trailers) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the equipment.
- Load and unload cargo securely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Uphold Prime’s high standards of safety and compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Willingness to undergo paid training for those with no experience (CDL not required for training).
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR) or be willing to work towards it.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and time management skills.
