Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently to deliver goods to designated locations in and around Charlotte, NC.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance with DOT regulations.
- Manage cargo loading and unloading to prevent damage and ensure proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate driver logs (DVIR) and adhere to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A License: Must possess a valid CDL Class A driver's license (or be willing to obtain one through our training program).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for extended periods, and pass a Department of Transportation physical exam.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and safety documentation.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time work, including potential night shifts or long-haul routes.
