Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on assigned routes throughout the Southeast region.
- Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Interact professionally with customers, drivers, and dock personnel.
- Report mechanical issues or accidents immediately according to company protocol.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A (Clean driving record required).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong willingness to undergo training and mentorship programs.
- Basic English proficiency for reading road signs and communicating with dispatch.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading.
