Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe, legal, and proficient manner according to all federal and state regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition and safe for travel.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo is protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate logs (Electronic Logging Device - ELD) and maintain driver's qualification files.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other drivers regarding delivery times and route changes.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or be willing to obtain one through our training program.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must have a clean driving record (MVR check required).
- Basic English language skills for communication.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
