Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment, ensuring cargo security and integrity throughout the transit.
- Adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and electronic logging devices (ELD) records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery status and route changes.
- Uphold a professional image and represent RoadRunner Transport with excellence at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no DUI or reckless driving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Willingness and ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Strong customer service skills and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation.
