Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles in a safe and professional manner during night shifts.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual labor as required.
- Ensure cargo is securely fastened and protected against damage during transit.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Keep the truck cabin and cargo area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Knowledge of cargo securement procedures and DOT regulations.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle maintenance checks.
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
