Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on local and regional routes within Miami and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and dollies, ensuring proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and customer service protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Must be willing to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
