Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on designated routes, including Ohio and regional lanes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight to prevent damage.
- Obey all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records according to DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues encountered.
- Keep the cab and cargo area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Drug Screen clearance.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience.
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible night shift hours (e.g., 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
