Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A) in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, utilizing proper lifting and tie-down techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging devices (ELD) and paperwork.
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to company safety policies and participate in safety meetings as required.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Current DOT Medical Card and clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends if necessary.
