Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to ensure timely delivery of goods across the region.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper securement and handling of freight.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all required shipping documentation.
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding delivery updates and any potential issues.
- Uphold a professional image and company standards while on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and digital paperwork.
