Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and safety.
- Load and secure cargo using proper tie-down techniques to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and paperwork.
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules and communicate any delays or issues immediately to dispatch.
- Uphold a professional image at all times while interacting with customers and the public.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs and roadside emergencies promptly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling.
- Must be able to operate in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to submit to random drug and alcohol testing as per DOT regulations.
