Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on local routes within the Oakland and Bay Area region.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Tanker/Hazmat endorsement preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road conditions, and safe driving techniques.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
