Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers to transport goods safely and timely to designated delivery points.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, miles driven, and cargo status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A) required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Willingness to undergo paid training if no previous driving experience is listed.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing routine vehicle maintenance checks.
